Reflection
The belief that the Qur'an remains unchanged stems from a deep reverence for its divine origin and the meticulous care with which it has been preserved. Muslims believe that the verses of the Qur'an were revealed by God (Allah) to the Prophet Muhammad over a period of twenty-three years. This sacred text is seen not merely as a book, but as the literal word of God, a perfect and complete guidance for humanity.
From the very beginning, there was a strong emphasis on memorization and accurate recitation. Companions of the Prophet memorized the entire Qur'an, and it was also written down. This dual approach of oral transmission and written record, coupled with the sincere devotion of countless individuals throughout history to uphold its integrity, forms the bedrock of the belief in its uncorrupted state. The consensus among Muslims is that the text available today is identical to that revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.
